1. About this policy

This policy explains which cookies are used on www.lucianion.co.uk, why, and how you can choose. The website is run by:

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the website to work or to stay secure; others are optional and are only used if you agree.

3. Cookies that are always used (strictly necessary)

• cookie_choice (this website) – remembers whether you clicked “Accept” or “Reject”, so we do not ask again on every page. Kept for 6 months.
• Security cookies from Cloudflare (for example __cf_bm) – our website is protected by Cloudflare, which may set a short-lived cookie to tell people from automated attacks. Kept for up to 30 minutes.

The security check on our enquiry form (Cloudflare Turnstile) does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Optional cookies – only if you click “Accept”

If you click “Accept”, our website loads two Google services. Nothing is loaded from Google before you choose.

Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) shows us how the website is used: which pages are visited, how people arrive (for example from a search) and which type of device they use. We see these figures only as totals; we do not use them to identify you.

• _ga and _ga_… (Google Analytics) – distinguish one visitor from another so that visits can be counted. Kept for up to 2 years.

Google Ads tells us whether a visit that began with one of our Google adverts led to an enquiry being sent, so that we know which adverts are worth paying for.

• _gcl_au and _gcl_aw (Google Ads) – link your visit to the advert you clicked. Kept for 90 days.
• Google may also read or set its own cookies on Google’s websites for the same measurement purpose.

When an enquiry is sent, Google is told only that an enquiry was made, with a random reference number. Google never receives your name, contact details, the procedure you chose or your message. We do not use these cookies for personalised advertising or “remarketing”.

If you click “Reject”, or make no choice, none of these optional cookies are set and nothing is loaded from Google.

5. Changing your choice

You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page. Choosing “Reject” there also deletes the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies from this website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

6. Website statistics

We use Google Analytics only if you click “Accept” (see section 4). If we add a statistics service that works without cookies in future, we will update this policy.

7. Links to other websites

Our website contains links to other sites. We are not responsible for their cookies or privacy practices; please read their own policies.
